I remember feeling so stuck and depressed back in 2011 when I lost a huge chunk of income in my business.
There was this terrible knot in my stomach whenever I worried about where my next check was going to come from.
I hated that feeling of uncertainty.
For a while, I thought about giving up on my business and going back to working a 9 to 5 job.
But instead, I kept moving forward.
And once I was able to push through those mental roadblocks to get my business back on track, I had my biggest year ever in terms of clients, customers and sales!
So here’s what I want you to remember when you feel like giving up…
Challenges Are An Opportunity for Growth
What I realized is sometimes it’s necessary for us to go through the discomfort of being lost and stuck to get to a breakthrough. There are so many important lessons we need to learn about ourselves that we would not be able to fully grasp if we never had any challenges along the way. For instance, if I had never failed in my business, I never would have learned how to regroup and bounce back even stronger. And if I had never experienced defeat in my career, I never would have learned how to overcome any obstacles that come my way.
You Already Have Everything You Need to Succeed
If you have been given a big vision for your life, then you need to trust that God has also given you the ability to make it come true. The universe is ready to support you and your dreams through the people and opportunities that are being placed in your life. So when you hit a bump in the road, it is NOT a “sign” that you should quit. Just because it feels hard, doesn’t mean it’s time to throw in the towel. It just means that you need to access your higher self – the part of you that refuses to allow your FEAR to be stronger than your FAITH.
It’s Not a Question of “If,” But “When?”
As time goes by without seeing the results you want, it can be easy to slip into the valley of doubt, wondering if your hard work will ever pay off. That’s why it’s so important to spend more of your energy in the space of inspired action than you do in the paralysis of fear. In other words, focus on moving forward versus dwelling on how much farther you have to go. You have to know that at the end of the day, you will achieve your goals. It’s not even a question of IF it will happen, but WHEN. And as long as you stay on the court, you will eventually win the game.
If you’re in a difficult season in your life right now…keep going.
It WILL get better.
I promise.
Your miracle is on the way.

Thanks for sharing your story. What do you do when you are just stuck in a rut and don’t know how to get out? I always try but now I’m at a point where I am tired of trying. I try to be positive but it just doesn’t last.
Anita – what would be the best next step for you to take so you can move forward? The best way to get unstuck is to take action, even if you’re not sure if it’s the “right” action or not. It may be time for you to reach out to your support network for help so you’re not in this all by yourself.
Oh this is just on time for me! For the past couple of weeks I have been really feeling like throwing in the towel. It’s been just about a year since I left my 9-5 to pursue a career I had been day dreaming about over a while. But i have gotten to a point where self doubt has started creeping in. When you just cannot crunch the numbers, man! Self doubt follows somehow. And I have been seriously considering going back to the 9-5 because am thinking…I gotta put some food on that table! It’s so hard to even think of giving up because I have come from a far away place where I just don’t want to return to. I will keep fighting to move forward. I am not giving up.
Tari – you have to give yourself time to see results! A year is a good start but to be able to replace your income it typically takes most business owners several years. Be gentle with yourself and make sure you’re getting the training and support you need to accelerate your progress.
These emails always find their way to me in a moment of pure frustration. With passion, I live my life, guided by intuition. Often times, my intuition goes silent and I’m left wondering if I’m doing the right thing, should I join the rat race or continue cutting my own path, sprinkling seeds of body consciousness? I ask myself if I’m truly providing a meaningful service. And I am. To get to this point of clarity, I spend days within the wilderness and myself; meditating, dancing, writing and resting. I come home feeling watered and ready to conquer.
Thank you so much for reminding me how important my life work is!

Thank you so much for walking in your truth. I needed to walk in mine as well. I’ve been stuck for to long and now it’s go hard or lay down and just exist. I decided to “Go Hard!” I had to really embrace my why and my “why” come two fold. One being because of all of the negative things said to me growing up always wanting to fit in and the other one is “Why Not”.
Thanks for sharing here, Martica – now is your time :)
I had hit a real low about 4year ago , my mom passed and my oldest was in alot of trouble and I was not working and about to lose my home and I was depressed .. but they say God never give you more than you can handle and that is so true , I kept praying and soon I landed the job of my dream , I have my own office and make my own hours basically and the pay is great. I move to a smaller house , my Daugther is on her own path of growing and doing so good … My life is great and I am loving me .. this down time made me a much stronger and happier person because I learn with God I can do all things… and as a New year rolls around I am looking to even more beautiful moments….
What a beautiful story of resilience, Katrina. Thank you for sharing how you bounced back!

I just finished meditation and prayer when I received this. I asked for confirmation about my journey and opened my laptop to be inspired. Thank you for reminding me to not be detoured by the process, but to stay focus on the goal. Much needed post.
