Do you dream of being able to live and work from anywhere in the world but just can’t figure out how to do that with your current job?
If so, it may be time for you to create a location-independent business so that you can live life on your own terms.
A “location-independent business” is a business that can be run VIRTUALLY, which is what allows you to manage it from anywhere in the world. Watch the video below for my two simple steps to help you get started.
Step 1: Make a List of All the Places You Want to Go
Make a list of all the places you want to travel to. Maybe you’ve always wanted to explore Japan in the spring or Paris in the summer. Perhaps you want to visit all of the Caribbean islands over the next few years and learn Spanish in Mexico. You might even want to take a road trip across the United States to see all the national parks and historical landmarks along the way. Whatever your travel goals are, write them all down. This list will be your motivation for doing what it takes to achieve them!
Step 2: Start a Business That Can Be Run Virtually (Online and via Phone)
Figure out how to parlay your passion and expertise into a business that you can run with just your laptop and your cell phone (or Skype!). Examples include: freelancing, coaching, teaching online classes and courses, blogging, selling physical products online, publishing books and ebooks, etc. The possibilities are endless, but these are some great ideas to start with as you brainstorm what might work best for you, your skills and the lifestyle you want.

I have a program to help girls build self esteem. I conduct this program at different schools and churches. As of now I am working on having a non profit and wondering how I can obtain a building. Can you please do videos on the things that I have mentioned?
This is awesome! I changed my business a few times so that I would have more space for freedom and travel. I used to teach a lot of cooking classes. However I quickly learned that cooking classes meant that I had to be in one place to teach the classes. Now I am writing cookbooks and recipes for other people — among other different types of marketing materials for health companies. Because I don’t have to be in one place at one time, I have been able to be at the hospital with my honey when he’s having kidney failure complications. That’s an extra plus for me. Since we live in Florida, we take short trips to beautiful places around Florida without having to miss out on money. It’s great!
Good luck on your 5K, Rosetta! I remember reading about how averse to exercise you were! How life changes as we get older! :)
This is something that I am striving for. I want to be in a position where I am responsible for my own earnings and I can decide where I want to be at any time without that harming my money making potential.
