In today’s video post, I share three ways to remove negative energy from your life. Once you remove these energetic blocks, you are able to create more space for happiness and success.
In the video, I outline these three ways to release negative energy from your life:
Remove negative people.
The people you allow into your life can have a profound influence on your thoughts and actions. As a result, if you’re surrounded by negative people most of the time, your progress in life can be hindered. When you hang around people that constantly complain and gossip, it drags you down into the dumps with them as well. Do what you have to do to remove these folks from your life (or at least limit your exposure to them), whether that means not sitting next to them at lunch in the company cafeteria, declining their invitations to hang out or unfriending them on social media.
Remove negative media.
Media can have a very strong effect on how we think and behave. That’s what most commercials, TV shows and news broadcasts are really all about. Watch what you watch! All the reality TV isn’t just “entertainment”, it can be detrimental to your mindset and serve as an excuse to judge people you don’t even know. And when it comes to the news, remember that if you put too much fear-based information into your brain (which is what most “news” is these days), you will begin to worry more and develop a more cynical worldview.
Remove negative behavior.
Pay attention to your own behavior to see if you’re bringing negative energy into your life with the things you say and do. Just like Michael Jackson sang, it’s important to look at the (wo)man in the mirror and make sure your actions align with your values of being a good person. When you engage in negative behavior, you block the flow of positive energy that you need to experience happiness and success. Besides, if you’re spending your precious time gossiping about other people, you can’t possibly be maximizing your own potential to live your best life. Right?
Leave a comment below: Are you experiencing the effects of negative energy in your life right now? How can you begin to release it to make room for more happiness and success?

Hi I must agree with Monique, I will stArt telling people the truth. I’m fed up with keeping folks fake satisfied. Thanks for sharing that.
Hello Rosetta,
I agree with you 100%…back in 2010, I just felt so unhappy and drained and I couldn’t figure out why. Something in my spirit told me to do a relationship check and evaluate the people that I had surrounding me. I was shocked to learn that those people didn’t have any dreams nor aspirations. Here I am, wanting to write books, obtain my Master’s degree, start a non-profit for teen girls, volunteer in the community. All they seemed to want to do was talk about reality tv and gossip about what was going on in their community. I also evaluated myself during this time which was very difficult for me to do, but I did it. I learned that I wasn’t being true to myself, because I wasn’t saying what others needed to hear. I was only telling them what they wanted to hear. When I started telling the truth a few of them limited their contact with me. I deleted several numbers from my phone, because those relationships were not bearing any fruit. All they did was take and never deposited anything back…I didn’t need that in my life. Now, I am at a place where I know what I want out of life and I can develop friendships that are balanced and healthy.
This sounds like a similar situation that I went through however it was with a guy that I was seeing. He was very complacent with living at home with his mother, working a job and not trying to obtain a career, and his lack of education aspirations and conversations made the relationship boring. It was not all his fault because I at the time chose to accepted it but once I had enough of the situation I began to feel a lot better about myself. I think that at the time I was too lazy to look for a new relationship and inaddition my daughter had become attached to him as a father figure.
