“Just breathe and fly. Enter your day and breathe and live.” – Mark Nepo
Over the past month, I have been in deep thought about the kind of life I want to create in 2016 as part of my year-end reflection process using my 2015-2016 Annual Review/Preview Reflection Guide. If you haven’t completed your own review/preview yet, I highly encourage you to do so. Reflection is one of the most powerful tools for personal development!

The truth is…
Life is not a dress rehearsal.
Unfortunately, you don’t know how much time you have left on earth to fulfill your purpose and enjoy your blessings.
The good news is that we have a lot more control over the journey than we think.
In fact, one of the best lessons I have learned over the last few years is that I get to choose.
I get to choose how I live my life.
I get to choose how I spend my time (and who I spend it with).
I get to choose how I want to show up in the world.
And so do you!
Since you get to choose…
What are you choosing to experience in 2016?
I am choosing:
Joy.
I am committed to doing more of the things that bring me joy and letting go of the things (and people) that no longer make me happy.
Ease.
I am curious about all the ways I can invite more ease into my life, from managing my business to strengthening my relationships to organizing my personal affairs and finances.
Flow.
I am craving the experience of being fully present and hyper-focused on just a handful of writing and client projects this year. I feel a new work coming through me, which requires dedicated creative space and time to be “in the zone.”
What about you?
What are your theme words for 2016?
