What Will You Complete By the End of 2015?

Aloha!

I’m back in Hawaii for a while and happy to be “home.”

My Airbnb apartment has a beautiful lanai (outdoor patio) filled with colorful plants and flowers, pictured above.

I feel surrounded by life and excited to have my Sunday beach days again!‪

Last night after I got settled in, I walked to Tiki’s for dinner and had the best miso butterfish with brown rice.

It was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, along with the pineapple cheesecake I had for dessert!

As you know, I love to eat and Hawaii is one of my top foodie destinations.

I’ve been traveling pretty much nonstop for the past year and it feels good to “settle down” for a while and soak up the sunshine, play in the sand and focus on completing a few important projects by the end of 2015.

Fast Company recently published a fantastic article on Oprah and how she stays productive.

This was the money quote for me:

“I have learned that your full-on attention for any activity you choose to experience comes with a level of intensity and truth,” she says.

“It’s about living a present life, moment to moment—not worrying about what’s going to happen at 3 o’clock and what’s going to happen at 7 o’clock.”

In other words: focus.

“That whole thing about multitasking? That’s a joke for me. When I try to do that, I don’t do anything well.”

Here at Happy Black Woman headquarters, I’ve been focused on creating.

New event.

New podcast.

New Facebook group.

New mentorship program.

All to serve YOU – my Happy Black Woman Tribe!

Now if you’ve been consuming more than you’ve been creating, then it’s time to get FOCUSED and recommit to achieving your big goals during these last few months of the year.

It’s time for you to stop procrastinating and honor the power of COMPLETION.

Nothing in your life or business will ever be “perfect,” so let go of that unrealistic scenario.

What matters is that you get things DONE so you can keep moving forward.

If you want to stay focused on results, stop starting new projects every 5 minutes.

Instead, ask yourself what current project can you FINISH that will have the most impact on your business? Your career? Your life?

(For you, that might be your website, your blog, your sales page, your speaking packet, your book, etc.)

You might be good at networking or social media, but when you master the art of COMPLETION, that’s when the money will really start to flow.
